Rational Interaction, a full-service digital/interactive agency, seeks an experienced Web Development Manager to direct our web design and development projects. We need a multidimensional professional who can wear several hats, architecting web applications and managing the development, testing, and release process. You will gather business requirements, specify the best solution, and manage developers and testers to ship a solid project on-time and on-budget.
Responsibilities
- Build great web projects!
- Write business requirements and technical specifications
- Estimate development efforts and schedules
- Break down development projects into detailed resource and task lists
- Collaborate with our business and user experience leaders throughout the development process
- Manage day-to-day development and testing tasks
- Answer technical questions and refer business questions to our clients
- Triage bug reports and prioritize testing efforts
- Manage the release process
- Continuously improve our Agile development process
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in computer science, information systems, or comparable work experience
- 2+ years work experience as a technical project manager or development manager in a web development environment.
- Experience as a web developer; programming skills in one or more major web development frameworks
- Knowledge of the overall web development landscape; must know how to pick the right tools for the job
- Experience and understanding of technical systems, including web servers, databases, and HTML/CSS
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication
